Obituary of Frederick Schleuter
Please share a memory of Frederick to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Fredrick Schleuter passed on November 16, 2004. He was born in New Jersey on October 29, 1932 to Frederick and Mabel (nee Delaney.) He was the loving brother of Veronica Schleuter of New York City. He was a dear friend to St. Francis of Assisi Church and residences.
Frederick traveled the world performing for Presidents, Heads of State, Kings and Queens. He sang the national anthem at sporting events, Conventions and openings. He retired to New York and enjoyed the many people he encountered each day.
His zest for living can be summed up with his favorite Pink Floyd song, "The Gig in the Sky" and "I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I Don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.' 'I never said I was frightened of dying.'
