Stephen Baker, Advertising executive and author of 22 books including two long time best sellers with over 200, 000 copies sold: How to live with a Neurotic Dog and How to Play Golf in the low 120's. Twice nominated as Art Director of the year by the National Arts Society of Art Directors, recipient approximately 60 citations and awards for creativity in advertising, including 6 Art Director Gold Medal, Best Retail TV commercial of the year, monthly columnist for Art Direction Magazine for 9 years and Advertising Age magazine for 14 years, creator long running advertising campaigns such as &quot;Let your Fingers do the Walking&quot; for AT&amp;T Yellow Pages, V/P Creative Director of Cunningham and Walsh for 14 years, President of his own agency for 11 years. Consultant to promote the metric system, American English,(which he did not speak until his mid twenties), Republican Party, Walt Disney Entertainment, Barmun and Bailey, McGraw Hill. Stephen taught at New York University, School of Visual Arts, Learning Annex, Discovery Center, Washington State University, etc. Published over 200 articles in Cosmopolitan, New York Times, Art Direction, Advertising Age, Parade, Writer's Digest, Nature, etc. Two books made into movie shorts. Guest appearances on all major TV networks (CBS, NBC, ABC) many cable stations, and 25 radio stations. First to put major retail store on television (Barney's), first to have a commercial bank buy a full page ad in the New York Times, first to use three page inside cover advertisement in a magazine, first to fight air pollution by extensive government sponsored TV campaign, first to write a humorous book on golf, &quot;How to Play Golf in the low 120's- sold over 220, 000 and made into a movie short in England, first to research the psychological impact of pictures on the subconscious.
