The knowledge he took with him can never be replaced. I admired him and I loved him. He will never be forgotten. Rest well, beloved.

I am deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear friend and mentor, Bob Endres. He left us quietly in his sleep after a period of declining health. Bob was a true gem, a compassionate soul who touched many lives with his wisdom, kindness, and infectious love for life. He also was witty and could wield a sharp sense of humor at a moment’s notice.
Bob was a master storyteller, regaling us with captivating tales from his experiences in New York, Illinois, and beyond. His stories were not just about his own exploits but also about the remarkable people he encountered throughout his journey. He had a way of making you feel like you were right there with him, sharing in the laughter, the triumphs, and the lessons learned.
Bob's impact on my life was profound. He taught me invaluable lessons about presentation, showmanship, and navigating the complexities of life with grace and humor. His advice that it takes at least five years to feel truly comfortable in a new position has proven to be a timeless truth. I will forever cherish the memories of our long evenings spent in his apartment, indulging in high-fidelity music, thought-provoking movies, and his endless supply of incredible stories.
I had the privilege of working alongside Bob at the Music Hall, where he shone as a true professional, guiding us through premieres and special shows with his expertise and precision. The Music Hall was a magical place, made even more special by the exceptional cast and crew that Bob cherished so deeply. Later, we were fortunate to have him lead our Dolby Screening Room, where his charm and professionalism endeared him to our clients from the studios and press alike.
In his final days, Bob remained resilient, alert, and witty, even as his health declined. We are forever grateful to his angels disguised as neighbors, Jeremiah and Norma, who ensured that he could spend his last moments comfortably at home, surrounded by love and care. He conveyed to me recently that he was truly fulfilled and that he got to live the life that he dreamed and imagined.
Bob, your spirit will forever light our path. We bid you a fond farewell and a seamless transition to the next chapter of your journey. You have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we will carry your lessons, your warmth, and your zest for life with us always. Bon voyage, dear friend, and may your legacy continue to inspire us all.
