Dr. Adams somehow found my contact information and asked to be included on my monthly emails about Geriatrics Grand Rounds given at Weill Cornell. He showed up every month, very early! We would chat about his career, Bushwick, the nursing home Buena Vida, gentrification, medical education. He always told me I should open a catering business because I always put out a nice spread for our Grand Rounds and he was impressed by how I greeted everyone and how faculty and trainees would come up to me and ask me questions. After a few months, he called me the Mayor of Brooklyn. He was the sweetest person. He reminded me of my grandfather. God rest his soul.

I remember him from Columbia University in the ‘80s, how interested he was in bilingual education and how he helped students at the Career Services department. Rest In Peace Andreas

I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. When we are grieving the loss of a loved one, we can find comfort from the scriptures. I found a couple scriptures at jw.org. Psalm 55:22 promises that God will sustain us if we just throw our burdens on him. So we need to remember to pray. I look forward to seeing him in the resurrection when he will again be enjoying friends/family. (John 5:28,29). I hope these scriptures bring you as much comfort as they bring me.

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. We are all affected by death, no matter what our age is. The Bible tells us that Jehovah God sees our pain and suffering. And soon he will put an end to death for good. He even promises a resurrection of our loved ones. (John 5:28,29). We all look forward to being reunited with our loved ones. I hope this brings you some comfort during this time of grief.

My deepest condolences for the loss of your Husband. I know that losing a mate can be difficult. What has helped me is the hope given in the Bible where God will remember our dead loved ones and will bring them back to life on earth. Jo 5:28,29 Ps 37:11,29 Imagine the day when there are no more tears of sorrow and death and pain are gone forever. To the family of Andreas Jorge Adams, I offer my sincerest condolences. Losing a loved one in death is a devastating blow that can leave our hearts broken and our spirits crushed. Yet, we are assured at Psalm 34:18: "Jehovah(God) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit".
