Obituary of Doodnauth Scott Persaud

Doodnauth Rocky Scott Persaud passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born on May 28, 1943 in Wakenaam, Guyana, to the late Eshwar and Gangautrie Persaud. He moved to New York City on December 3, 1967, and subsequently settled down in North Bergen, New Jersey, in 1976, with his wife, the late Elenice Persaud. He moved back to New York City in December 2018.  

Scott, as he was known to most, is survived by his son, Scott Anthony Persaud and his wife Monica, his daughter, Crystal Gail Persaud Telesco and her husband Tony Telesco, and his granddaughter, Elenice Olivia Telesco.

A visitation for Scott will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Gannon Funeral Home, 152 East 28th Street, New York, New York 10016, which will be livestreamed on Zoom. A funeral service and burial will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00am at Fairview Cemetery, Morro Chapel, 500 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, New Jersey 07022.
