Obituary of Nicholas Erardi
Nicholas Gannon Erardi of New York NY passed away on October 28th, 2023 at the age of 37.
Nick was born in Greenwich, CT on November 4th, 1985 to Joseph and Tina Erardi (Rose), and grew up in south western Connecticut with his sister Katherine (August Ridder). He attended Fairfield College Preparatory School and St. Luke's School, where he excelled academically and in many sports but particularly baseball, captaining his senior year team at St. Luke's. He went on to attend Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in Political Science and pitched for the Blue Jays. After graduating from Hopkins, Nick received his MBA from Georgetown University, which he successfully applied to multiple avenues of business and finance throughout his career.
An avid lover of all sports, Nick could talk to anyone about any team, game, or player for hours. He was known for rooting for almost any team, just because he loved the game. Family members often said that Nick knew more about their favorite teams than he did his own, which demonstrates his kind hearted generosity towards others. He also loved to ski, especially in the Adirondacks where he spent every summer with his cousins swimming, tubing, kayaking, and enjoying the great outdoors. That was his happy place.
The adjective that will always be the first used when describing Nick is kind. He always saw the best in everyone, a gentle giant, and loved to spark up a conversation with his friends and family about their interests, lives, or anything at all. He cared so deeply for others, and that love and admiration was returned by every single member of his family. He was taken far too soon from this world, and his loss will leave an unimaginable hole in so many hearts that knew him.
Nick will be forever missed and remembered by his parents, sister, and brother in law, as well as his aunts and uncles (Joanne DeNinno, John and Barbara Erardi, Nancy and John O'Connor, Frank and Amy Erardi), cousins (Matthew, Jenna, Lucy and James DeNinno, Gina and Chris Erardi, Molly, Patrick, Joseph, Jeweliet, Jocelyn and John O'Connor) and friends. He will be welcomed warmly by those who departed before him; his grandparents, John and Mary Erardi, Robert J. Rose Jr and Nancy G Rose, his uncle Robert J. Rose III, and his beloved childhood dogs Emma and Bernie.
